Huge congratulations to our Headmistress, who was announced winner of the prestigious Tatler Schools’ Best Head of Public School Award yesterday evening at their 2021 Awards Ceremony!

In her acceptance speech, in addition to commending the other four finalists, all of whom have made inimitable progress in different areas of British Independent Education, she thanked Tatler and all those who kindly nominated and voted for her. She also declared herself most proud of the happiness of FHS as a School and the emphasis that is placed on ensuring every child feels loved and valued as a unique individual.

During Lucy Elphinstone’s nine years here, FHS has enjoyed a transformation of its curriculum and character, as well as an expansion of its pupil roll by nearly three hundred. She is passionate about the ability of all children to grow, succeed and contribute in a fast-changing technological world, where the 7 Cs of creativity, curiosity, craftsmanship, confidence, commitment, communication and collaboration are essential attributes alongside the academic aspects of learning.

The FHS Community are delighted to have such an inspirational and dedicated leader.

From all of us, thank you so much for everything you do for FHS. You are amazing!
