BURSARIES
Francis Holland Sloane Square is committed to identifying talented girls and to widening access to a Francis Holland education though its bursary provision.
Supporting pupils who are on bursaries is central to our commitment to opportunity, belonging and excellence. We understand that joining a new school community can feel both exciting and daunting and that is why we provide structured, compassionate support from the very beginning of their journey.
Our dedicated Director of Pupil Integration works closely with each bursary pupil and their family to ensure a smooth transition academically, socially and emotionally. Through regular check-ins, tailored guidance, and close communication with home, we make sure every girl feels known, valued and confident. Support may include mentoring, help with organisation and study skills, and encouragement to take full advantage of co-curricular opportunities.
We are committed to removing barriers to participation so that bursary students can engage fully in school life from trips and clubs to leadership roles. Our aim is simple: every girl, regardless of background, should flourish, build lasting friendships, and realise her full potential within our community.
Bursary awards are offered at Year 7 and on entry to the Sixth Form and are reviewed annually. Our decisions about the award of bursaries take account of a number of factors, including:
- The individual talents and ability of the pupil
- The overall financial circumstances of the fee payers, both income and assets
- The family circumstances of the applicant
- The financial position of the Trust
Remission on a third of the fees is available to places offered to daughters of the clergy.
