We were excited to host Terri Duhon, an award winning TEDx speaker and educator, in our Speaker Programme this week.

Terri shared her extraordinary journey, from earning a mathematics degree at MIT to becoming a Wall Street trader and a member of Morgan Stanley. She emphasised the idea that your starting point doesn’t determine your destination and highlighted the endless opportunities for innovation. Many of the audience were particularly struck by her advice to “stand out from the crowd” and identify the unique qualities that make you special, ensuring that others recognise them. She provided an inspiring example of this by sharing her personal experience of sending a video recording of her personality along with her MIT application, which was a pivotal factor in her acceptance due to its originality. Terri addressed a wide range of audience questions, providing valuable advice for both aspiring finance professionals and those on different career paths. Her talk was a resounding success, leaving the audience inspired and enlightened.
