On Thursday 13th January, the Sixth Form received yet another witty, exhilarating, and information-packed speech from our own beloved teacher: Mr Dyson.

Mr Dyson discussed the topic of “Developing an entrepreneurial mindset – a journey through my early career path”. His speech reflected his university encounters, different jobs, and even exposure to life in primary school. His account inspired the Sixth Formers to be more innovative and experimental in their future careers and explore their time ahead even throughout university. This advice lifted the pressure off students deciding what jobs or degrees they want to do, which can be stressful and intimidating at this specific time.

His trip to Australia sparked aspirations in many of the students to complete their own adventurous and risk-taking voyages. Living in a tent, his description of being out in the tropical and quite threatening parts of Australia (primarily due to the animals surrounding him) certainly provoked some laughs.
