Last term, Year 4 wrote a class letter to world leaders asking them how they were planning to address climate change and holding them accountable to the promises they made at COP26. Each girl in Year 4 addressed their letter to a different world leader, to ensure that we contacted as many influential people as possible.

Ruby wrote to Boris Johnson, and this week she got a reply from 10 Downing Street! The correspondence officer from Downing Street states that it is “really encouraging to see young people” such as Year 4 at FHS thinking “so hard about the future of our planet”.

Downing Street agreed with Year 4’s ideas on how we as a community can make a difference and included further suggestions and statistics.
