The Higher Education Evening on Wednesday 28th February was an extremely informative and exciting event!

Year 12 parents and students gathered in the Senior Hall for some refreshments before hearing all about higher education options including universities, but also the increasingly popular degree apprenticeships from the Director of Futures and Innovation, Mrs Wilkes. This painted an inspiring picture of the future with endless possibilities, including the infamous and hugely advertised gap year!

Next, Miss Stansfield spoke more about university preparation and the importance of considering different factors (such as the location of universities) when thinking about which university to apply for, which was really helpful so that we could begin to consider our options! After this, Miss Boon delivered a detailed talk on the Oxbridge application process, which was extremely informative in aiding us in beginning to make these crucial decisions. To finish off the evening, we regrouped in the senior hall to ask any further questions and queries.

Thank you so much to all of the staff who helped to organise this event!
