What a fantastically festive and magical evening was had by all who attended what I’m sure will become an annual celebration at Chelsea Barracks on Thursday 1st December.  As promised, there were elves and carol singers, indulgent hot chocolates with all the added extras and delicious mince pies and biscuits. Even Santa was there in his sleigh!

All the competition entries were beautifully displayed in the Garrison House for all to see. I am proud to say that Francis Holland did especially well and that we received five honourable mentions for the following girls’ fantastic designs: Ella (Y4), Elizabeth (Y5), Celina (Y5), Olivia (Y5), and Lita (Y6). They were all given an incredible hamper filled with all the goodies you can imagine!

Charlotte M in Year 4 was crowned the winner of them all and had the grand honour of switching on the lights of the tree that carried her imaginative design of a Chelsea Pensioner right at its very top!

A big thank you to all the children who submitted a design and of course to Meg, the Fairy Queen, for inviting us to take part in such a special competition and event.
