Last week, Year 5 went on a camping trip. Although it was a one hour and thirty-minute drive, on the way we saw the most beautiful clouds I have ever seen. Once we arrived, our tribe leaders showed us the way to Cuckoo Woods where we were going to sleep. Every day we did lots of activities, such as first aid, how to carve a stick, how to hold a carving knife safely and how to make a shelter in the forest.  Afterwards, we ate lunch and had some free time, playing games about camouflage. After dinner, we would roast marshmallows and sing songs. Even if we weren’t big fans of singing, everybody sang along and were constantly smiling. On the day we had to leave Cuckoo Woods everybody was sad, but Kyle our tribe leader made us happy again. On the way to the bus we sang some of our favourite songs.
