On Monday 14^th March, maths enthusiasts came together to celebrate a very special date: 14.03.22 or 03.14, as Americans prefer. Also known as the first 3 digits of π!

The maths prefects held a small bake sale celebrating Pi Day, featuring an array of creative sweets homemade by staff and students across all years. Some honourable mentions include a delicious lemon drizzle cake, maths-themed cookies and a perfectly crisp apple π pie. As part of the ongoing effort to aid those displaced by the current conflict in Ukraine, a rough total of the £130 raised were directed to supporting them. Our contributions to the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal will allow the DEC charities to provide water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.
