The Music Department hit the ground running with an afternoon of chamber music on Monday before the beginning of term.

The Music Scholars, and other senior music students, had a great afternoon working with some of the music teachers on various pieces of music in small groups, and finishing by sight-reading through a performance of a wonderful concerto by J.S.Bach.  This is really good preparation for the year ahead and it was also a really fun afternoon – lovely to see everyone after the long summer!  Many thanks to Mr Mercer, Miss Murata, Mr Weale, Miss Smith, Mr Trentham and our new colleague Mr Wood, who joined me in running the afternoon.
