This week, girls have enjoyed more netball fixtures and the Junior House Swimming Gala!

Year 3 Netball vs Garden House
The Year 3 Netball team enjoyed their first competitive matches against Garden House last week. We have been working hard to improve our passing and spacing over the term. A lot of parents came along to support the team which the girls loved! What a great start to their Netball careers. Well done to Mariya for scoring our first goal.

Year 5 and 6 Netball v Glendower Prep
The U11 Netball teams braved the cold weather to finish the first half of the season in Battersea Park against Glendower Prep. The Year 6 team lost by one goal in a closely fought match, with some players stepping up to take on new positions and gelling together immediately. I am so pleased with their attitudes and progress throughout the season so far. Year 5 enjoyed a convincing win 12-1. Fantastic shooting and support throughout the team!

Year 4 Netball v Garden House
Our Year 4 matches on Tuesday were end to end, and despite losing, our players demonstrated just how much progress they have made this term. The team looked organised and much more fluid. There were lots of great interceptions made, which showed that our lesson on defending worked well and that the girls were able to apply the coaching points effectively. Well done to Ruby, Olivia, Soraya and Amanda for pitching in for two matches when we needed them.

Junior House Swimming Gala
A huge congratulations to Fonteyn who won our annual House Swimming gala by over 500 points. There were some fantastic efforts by all swimmers in the pool, including multiple wins for Beatrice in Year 4, Evelyn in Year 5 and Dalal in Year 6. Recognition of effort, team support and an overall positive approach was awarded in our “Spirit of the Gala” category, which was won by Ruby in Year 4, Lita in Year 5 and Klara in Year 6. Thank you to all parents who were able to attend.
