With just two weeks until showtime, rehearsals are in full swing for our upcoming musical spectacular Guys and Dolls, which will be performed at Riverside Studios on Friday 27th January and Saturday 28th January. Check out the photos below for a sneak peak into the rehearsal room, and here’s what the cast and crew had to say about their experience so far…

It’s been great fun and really interesting to work behind the scenes and see all the props and costumes coming together. The 1950s style is going to be really exciting to recreate. Watching the show come alive in rehearsals makes me really excited for the final performance – everyone is buzzing! – Assistant Student Director

It’s been really enjoyable rehearsing Nicely – he is such a dynamic and entertaining character to play, and different to my previous roles. It’s been such fun preforming with younger years too. I am working on mastering the New York accent by challenging my inner 1950s gangster! Expect lots of trilby hats, rolling dice and double-breasted suits… – Year 12 playing Nicely-Nicely Johnson

I love my fellow hot-box girls, and I have found a new love of dance that I never knew I had. Being in a strong female chorus in empowering and our characters are really fun to play.  The ‘Havana’ salsa routine is a new style of dance for me, and it creates a really fun energy during rehearsals. – Year 12 Hot Box Girl
