Mr Mercer and I had the great privilege of attending the inaugural Service of the St Margaret Choristers, Westminster Abbey – which took place last Sunday at 6pm in St Margaret’s Church, with the beautiful blue clock face on its tower, just next to Westminster Abbey and opposite the Houses of Parliament.

It was a historic occasion: this is the first Girls’ Choir to be attached to Westminster Abbey.  We are very proud to say that two of our FHS pupils – Marianna D (Year 8) and Allegra C-D (Year 10) –  had successfully auditioned and are now members of this choir.

It was such a joyful occasion, there was an awareness of history in the making, and the standard of singing – despite the choir having formed just 3 weeks ago! – was excellent.  We look forward to lots more performances and wish Allegra and Marianna the greatest of good fortune – well done!
