This morning, we all gathered in the playground for the annual house chant. Franklin, Ashcroft, Fonteyn and Woolf had all been working hard to devise Christmas-themed house chants to perform to their peers.

Mrs Elphinstone, Mrs Pittaway and Mr Cawley were the judges and had a difficult job on their hands – deciding the best chant and also the best dressed!

Woolf performed their chant first with a fitting Matilda-themed song and accompanying dance routine! Franklin were chosen to go second and entertained with gymnastics and air guitar during their take on Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now! Ashcroft blew us all away with saxophone solos and confetti cannons before Fonteyn rounded the competition off with a Taylor Swift themed number complete with Mr Dyson and Dr Upcott’s gymnastic skills!

The judges deliberated before announcing Ashcroft as the winners! A very deserved win and we already cannot wait for next year.
