Following our spectacular production of Guys and Dolls at Riverside Studios in January, on Tuesday 18th April we took the entire cast to watch the Bridge Theatre’s acclaimed production of the show. The excitement from the 80-strong cast was palpable as we entered the auditorium which had been transformed into the bright lights of 1950s New York City, complete with fire hydrants, neon signs and stalls selling real hot dogs and pretzels!

As the immersive performance unfolded, our cast were yet again reminded of the show’s catchy Broadway tunes and comedic themes, and this was a fantastic opportunity for students to see how its timeless script was interpreted by professional theatre makers. It’s safe to say a highlight for many of the girls was the salsa dance party with the cast at the end of the show – not something we included in our own Guys and Dolls production, but something to think about for next year…! Overall, this was a fantastic trip and a great chance for the cast to relive fond memories of performing such a classic Broadway musical.
