Last Friday, the Year 6 girls travelled to Embankment via tube to then walk down the Strand en route to Covent Garden. The London Transport Museum was the final destination, but not to view any of the new exhibitions or interesting collections. The girls were taking part in the Junior Citizenship Scheme in an initiative by Westminster Council. Girls were given brilliant presentations by acting members of the Met Police, London Fire Brigade and Ambulance Service. They analysed the concept of citizenship and the obligations they need to fulfil to become good citizens in our city. All representatives of the emergency services present during the workshops were highly impressed with the attentiveness, curiosity and enthusiasm of Francis Holland Year 6 pupils. A wonderful trip where all girls left equipped with essential life skills.
