On Tuesday 14th of March we attended an insightful talk on Brain Nutrition.

Alice Van der Schoot, a PhD researcher in nutrition at Kings College London and Dr Pippa Gibson, a nutritionist at Accent Catering came to speak to us. We learned about the importance of certain nutrients for the brain and how this is related to the food we have here at school. We heard about which foods we should include in our diet to benefit the health of our brain, helping to improve memory and concentration (purple foods are highly recommended!).  This will be especially useful for our upcoming examinations!

We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening, but our favourite part was when we got the chance to test all the amazing and healthy food. We really enjoyed the overnight oats and the spinach smoothie.  We were also sent home with a leaflet full of delicious recipes to try.
