To start thinking about their lives post-FHS, last week the Lower Sixth sped off around the country to various educational establishments: the University of Manchester, the University of Bristol, the University of Exeter and the University of Oxford.

Here’s what Tess M had to say about her highly enjoyable visit to Manchester:

Bright and early on the morning of Wednesday 15th June, Mrs Wilkes and Mrs Marshall took 12 of us from Euston station to Manchester to do some exploring of the University of Manchester and what the city has to offer! When we got out of the station at Manchester Piccadilly, we found ourselves only a 15-minute walk away from Manchester’s beautiful university campus.

Splitting up into two groups, we explored different subject departments including a look into Manchester’s school of theatre and the arts. There was also a chance to get a feel for the atmosphere of the city with the city centre being a short walk from the campus allowing us to get a glimpse at the beautiful architecture and high streets as well as enjoying some delicious lunch. It was a wonderful day to explore a new place and think about our university prospects – not to mention, the weather was absolutely perfect!
