On Thursday 20th May, 31 Year 12 girls crowned a year of hard work with their EPQ presentations.

The teaching staff took a classroom seat, and fellow students turned out to support their friends, who presented on subjects ranging from an exploration of aeronautical history to the sewing of a Versailles court dress out of sustainable materials. In-depth research, resourceful problem-solving and careful time management were all essential to these achievements and duly celebrated. The Q&A session after each presentation is crucial to each girls’ final grade, and as ever, the audiences of peers and teachers showed themselves to be insightful questioners.

At the celebratory tea afterwards, there was universal praise for the girls’ expertise on their chosen subjects. Many thanks go especially to Miss Stevens, who took on the organisation of this logistically complicated event, and the teachers who volunteer as EPQ supervisors, taking time out of their busy schedules to mentor the girls through the year.
