On Monday, Year 4 visited the Natural History Museum to learn about earthquakes and volcanoes. They participated in the workshop “Emergency! Earthquakes and Volcanoes Show” during which they turned into scientists whose challenge was to decide when to evacuate the volcano town in the face of an imminent volcanic eruption.
After doing a marvellous job at saving people’s lives, they ventured “inside the earth” and explored the Volcanoes and Earthquakes Gallery where they could see and touch the lava rocks and even got to experience what a real earthquake would feel like!
