April in Paris….what better time to visit the city of lights, with the blossom out and the sun shining? Our LVI Physics and French students took the opportunity to head to the French capital and experience much it has to offer. We enjoyed incredible views from the Panthéon dome, contemplated the rotation of the Earth while observing Foucault’s Pendulum and discovered much about many of the heroes of the republic buried in the crypt. We visited the wonderful Curie Museum and the newly opened Liberation Museum which were both fascinating and introduced the students to important topics they will meet in the UVI. The Eiffel Tower, twinkling in the twilight, is always a highlight. On the Sunday, we spent time at the incredible Cité de Sciences where, amongst other things, we went inside a submarine, experience the planetarium (in French!), and visited many immersive and hands-on exhibitions which culminated in a full-on dance lesson! It was a truly exhausting and wonderful weekend that we won’t forget!
