Year 8 pupils were recently tasked with designing their own sustainable city in their Geography lessons.

Pupils were offered 1,572km² of land to build the city (the same size as London) and were given an unlimited amount of money. They were asked to address three urban issues through their design, tackling challenges such as urban waste management, pressures on water consumption and vehicle pollution.

The creativity with which the girls approached the task is evident in their final designs. Well done to all pupils for exhibiting craftsmanship and commitment in this project!
