As part of Expeditions Week, Year 8 are on a trip to a secret country estate near Hungerford in Berkshire. Follow below for updates…

28/06/2021 – 5.10pm
Year 8 have settled in well and have got to know their surroundings on a lovely hike up to the famous Combe Gibbet at the top of Gallows Down. The weather wasn’t always on our side but the girls are all in good spirits and are enjoying the great outdoors!

Today Year 8 are canoeing (even playing tag rugby on the canoes) and mountain biking! Check out the photos below!

Axe throwing and archery is on the agenda for more of our Year 8s today as well as canoe tug-of-war (Miss Lorimer and Miss Hammond take on five Year 8 girls!!) and Fonteyn house are crowned winners of last night’s Capture the Flag Competition!

Year 8 have been taking part in team building exercises this afternoon. Everyone holds hands with two different people in the circle and they have to free themselves without speaking!

30/06/2021 – 10.30am
This morning, Year 8 have been making jewellery from bark and stinging nettles, learning how to make campfires before they make cakes on them and enjoying a spot of archery.

The Year 8s have had a picnic on the Kennet and Avon canal and about to cycle and kayak back!

The Year 8s have had a fantastic trip away at their secret country estate in Hungerford, Berkshire and are looking forward to catching up with their families this weekend!
