On Thursday 7th July, we bid farewell to a cherished group of girls in our FHJS community: our Year 6 Class of 2022! Some of them have been with us since Reception; some of them have joined throughout the years, but they will all be missed in equal measure. With their parents in the audience, the girls each read out their favourite memories from their time at FHJS, including rallying together during lockdown, learning to write academic essays, and mostly having Mr Russell as their teacher not one, not two, but three times. The service included beautiful renditions of Sing by Gary Barlow by Year 6, Butterfly Fly Away by Miley Cyrus by the Year 3-4 choir, and a reprise of When I Grow Up from Years 3-6’s recent production of Matilda the Musical.

For those girls departing FHS, we wish them the very best of luck for starting at their new schools, and for those staying at FHS, we can’t wait to see you in September as you begin your Senior School journeys.
