In what has become an FHS tradition, Murphy Miller from A-List Education delivered his highly-informative talk, ‘Demystifying US Universities’, to around 50 families from Year 10 to the Lower Sixth on Tuesday 18th January. Mr Miller detailed every aspect of the US college application process, noting the major differences to UCAS, for instance the holistic approach to assessment, the SAT and ACT standardised tests, and the narrative form of a US personal statement.

Although the atmosphere was slightly different to previous years, with the move to the Zoom video format, Mr Miller still tackled some excellent questions from parents and students in the chat, including much discussion on the importance and relevance of extra-curriculars when applying to college and the role of legacy places. Thank you to Mr Miller and A-List Education for this informative evening.
