On Friday 13th March FHS celebrated Pi Day with a rainbow themed mufti day.

Pupils came in dressed in rainbow colours to celebrate South Africa, The Rainbow Nation. We had a fantastic bake sale at break time and later on in the day girls donated money for the opportunity to throw a pie at some of the teachers. Girls from Years 8, 10 and Lower Sixth also competed in the annual Maths trivia quiz. Free pies were on offer throughout the day!

Funds raised from today’s Pi Day will be donated to MakeItCountAfrica, a fantastic initiative set up by a Sixth Form pupil. The initiative aims to raise money to buy calculators for underprivileged students in Cape Town, South Africa.
