It was lovely to welcome mums, dads and other family members to Reception, Year 2, Year 3 and Year 6 this week for Open Classrooms.

Reception
This week the Reception parents had a chance to visit the classroom to see the girls’ work from the Autumn Term. Everyone was so proud to show off their books and all the amazing progress that they have so quickly made. – Miss Jackson, Reception Class Teacher

Year 2
On Tuesday morning, the Year 2 girls welcomed their parents to our classroom to proudly display all their wonderful work from the year so far. The classroom was buzzing with excited energy and filled with the sound of the girls showing off their favourite pieces of work. It was a lovely opportunity to reflect on the term so far and to celebrate all of their hard work! – Miss Bartlett, Year 2 Class Teacher

Year 3
On Wednesday morning, we were delighted to welcome Year 3 parents to our Open Classroom. The girls proudly showed their work and excitedly gave their parents a tour of the classroom. The highlight was our movie showcase of the films that the girls made during our recent trip to Sky Studios! – Miss Dixon, Year 3 Class Teacher

Year 6
On Wednesday, Year 6 welcomed their parents to their Open Classroom, giving them the opportunity to look at their daughters’ hard work from throughout this term. Their excellent abilities were shown through all of their exercise books, as well as special pieces on the display boards, such as their written work from the book ‘Journey to the River Sea.’ A piece of work which caught all parents’ eyes was the analysis of the Viking longships during History. The girls went into impressive detail showing off their analytical skills, which were also highlighted through their work of World War I sonnets. It was such a pleasure to welcome the parents in, as the girls continue to work hard towards their 11+ exams with increasing confidence. Mrs Elphinstone was thoroughly impressed with the high quality of the Year 6 girls’ work. – Mr Russell, Year 6 Class Teacher
