For this week’s Speaker Programme, it was a great privilege to welcome author Emma Shevah, along with members of the team who help bring her books to life.
Together, they gave an engaging and insightful talk about the journey of creating and publishing a book. Ms Shevah spoke about the process of creating and writing her book and the long, winding journey behind the final version.
Her editor explained the collaborative process of refining a manuscript, while the marketing manager discussed how books are promoted and shared with readers. We also learned about the role of illustration and how visual elements can help enhance storytelling.
Their talk highlighted that publishing is a true team effort that relies on creativity, communication and collaboration, and we are extremely grateful to them for taking the time to visit the school and share their experiences with us.
