Thursday 28th October was National Poetry Day.
The theme this year was ‘Freedom’, and we held an FHS Poetry Week at school. Students studied a variety of poems in class, whilst at break time on Thursday Senior School students performed poems to their peers in the playground. The Junior School were enthralled! We also held a poetry themed assembly complete with sung versions of Rupert Brooke poems and Mandarin readings of Li Po.
What a wonderful week! Thank you to the English department for coordinating these exciting activities.
