Celebrating our Young Poets: Competition Success

06/03/2026

We are delighted to congratulate all students from Years 7 to 10 who recently took part in the national poetry competition based on the inspiring theme “I Have a Dream.”

In the Autumn term, students in English explored what dreams, hopes, and aspirations mean to them—whether personal ambitions, visions for a better world, or reflections on challenges they want to see overcome. Their poems demonstrated creativity, emotional maturity, and thoughtful engagement with the theme.

We are especially proud to announce that a number of our students’ poems were selected for publication in this year’s anthology. Being published is a testament not only to the talent of our young writers, but also to their willingness to express themselves with confidence and originality.

To every student who entered: well done. Your courage to share your voice and your ideas enriches our school community, and we celebrate your hard work. We look forward to  seeing where your writing journeys take you next.

Congratulations to all!
