This morning, we celebrated the wonderful diversity of modern foreign languages being taught at our school and also those spoken at home by members of our school community with inspiring recitals of classic and modern poetry from around the world. We would like to thank Mrs Edwards, herself an experienced linguist from our sister school, for judging this most enjoyable competition. We must also commend all the participants, from Year 7 to the Sixth Form, for their impressive performances and the very high standard reached throughout. We are delighted to announce Henrietta Charnley, Year 9, as the overall winner of this year’s MFL poetry competition.
