In a building workshop provided by Foster + Partners on Monday 11th October, Year 5 were encouraged to reimagine Sloane Square as part of the Architecture in Schools programme.

Enthusiastic and full of ideas, the girls were divided into four groups – each group acted as the leading architect/designer of a corner of Sloane Square. Each group was also led by a member from the Foster + Partners’ team who showed the girls various 3D modelling techniques using materials ranging from card to pipe cleaners!

They worked collaboratively to create a Go Ape inspired collection of ropes and swings, a Ferris Wheel, a water park and animal enclosure, and a delightful array of stalls for a food market.

What a celebratory, lively and fantastic square it will be!
