The recent Middle School Choir Trip to Italy was made up of thirty members of the FHS Middle School Choir and Junior Chamber choir from Years 7 and 8.

We stayed in Sorrento, on the Amalfi Coast in Southern Italy and from there we visited the Island of Capri, the crater at the top of Mount Vesuvius (which is permanently smoking!) and the amazing ruins of Pompeii. We also performed 3 times, in churches around the area. The 2 concert programmes consisted of all sacred music and also a mixture of sacred and secular music. There were also some solos, duets and instrumental pieces (Caitlin McGinn played the violin and Gabriella Gordon played the flute). The weather was great and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thanks to Miss Vickery, Miss Davidson, Miss Lambert, Miss Benthall and Miss Stockall who accompanied the trip (and particularly to Miss Davidson who conducted the choir) and to all the girls who behaved very well and sang beautifully!
