To continue our celebration of Harvest this Autumn, Francis Holland, Sloane Square turned into an apple pressing farm!
Every girl brought in apples from home which were thoroughly washed before being enthusiastically thrown into the apple mill. The chopped apples were then transferred to the apple press where fresh sweet apple juice was produced. A queue quickly formed and all were enjoying a cup at breaktime.
Apple pressing reminds us of the importance of ‘field to fork’ eating and our efforts, as a school, to contribute to eating sustainably. Thank you to Accent Catering for the organisation of the day!
