The Foundation Scholarship

At the core of our Bursary Programme is the belief that all children, no matter what their background, should be able to reach their potential through education. Here at FHS, we are committed to playing our part in supporting social mobility by offering an education to those who might significantly benefit from the experience but may never have been able to consider it.

That is why we have committed to delivering a significant increase in the number of transformational awards we make to girls. These awards provide girls with full support, well over and beyond the cost of fees, throughout their time at the School and are specifically for those families with limited means.

Girls funded in this way are known as Francis Holland Foundation Scholars, named after the school’s Founder, who was chaplain to Queen Victoria and King Edward VII and a visionary in philanthropy and education. Widening access to an outstanding education is at the very heart the School’s bursary initiative and one which continues Canon Francis Holland’s legacy.
