Following their extensive learning on climate change and sustainability, Year 4 were extremely energised to hear that they had received a response from the Greek Prime Minister regarding a letter they had sent to him and other world leaders after COP26. To add to the excitement, it was then revealed that the letter would be delivered personally to the girls from the Greek Ambassador, Mr Ioannis Raptakis.

On Wednesday, the day finally arrived. Mr Raptakis was greeted by the girls, who gave a short presentation about their eco journey so far. This was followed by an extremely impactful rendition of the song ‘SOS from the Kids’. Mr Raptakis explained how touched Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakis had been to receive the letter. They were beyond impressed by the drive, commitment and enthusiasm shown by the girls. Mr Raptakis explained why he and Mr Mitsotakis were both so committed to tackling climate change before gifting the girls with a framed letter from the Prime Minister of Greece. This experience has demonstrated to the girls how important their voices are in making a positive difference to the world.
