On Wednesday afternoon, Year 3 took a stroll to the Chelsea Physic Garden for an afternoon of habitat exploring.

The girls began by making their very own bug hotels; they hunted for natural materials on the garden floor and used these to create wonderful habitats for bugs and insects. We then moved on to pond habitats and the girls had lots of fun dipping and discovering the different creatures that call the pond home. Finally, we explored the compost heap! The girls took delight in hunting through the compost to find a variety of creatures.

It was a wonderful trip that encouraged creativity and cooperation, and I was extremely proud of the girls for their enthusiastic approach and lovely manners throughout.
