Last week our Year 11 students embarked on a Link Programme to prepare them for starting Sixth Form in September.
The first two days were spent in school finding out about key aspects of Sixth Form life, such as leadership and community involvement, as well as meeting new subject teachers and taking part in a self-defence workshop. In contrast, Thursday and Friday were spent camping in Kent with plenty of challenges provided by the transport chaos, thunderstorms and mud. Highlights included navigating to the campsite, discussing Brexit whilst cooking over an open fire and working in teams to make and test cardboard canoes.
