On Saturday 25th June the sun shone, faces were painted and burgers sizzled at our annual Friends Summer BBQ.
This years theme was The Great Outdoors and we fully embraced this by packing the playground with a huge variety of stalls and activities, all adorned with wonderful leaves and flowers.
The whole school was abuzz with excitement as guests explored everything on offer, from the coconut shy and fairground ride to the gorgeous face painting and displays of fantastic artwork created by the students, not complete without a stop at Mrs Elphinstones delicious chutney stall! As always, our wonderful kitchen staff were on hand to provide a fantastic BBQ, whilst the ever popular cake sale catered for those with a sweet tooth. There was frantic bidding on the Silent Auction and all profits raised from this and the Summer BBQ will go towards the Friends contribution to the FHS Annual Fund (formerly the Teachers wish list) and the Exploration Society.
Overall it was a brilliant day, and we would like to thank the Friends for organising such a wonderful occasion.
