We have been crunching the numbers and counting up all the last minute step counts and can now confirm that the total step count for KLS between 12th and 19th March was 5,051,067 steps and we raised just over £12,000.
The FHS Junior School Team walked an incredible 520,000 steps (beating the senior school!), the online donations currently total £582.50 including gift aid and with some offline donations too, this is absolutely amazing, thank you! Every single step taken and every penny donated makes a difference. This total will be ringfenced for the Garden refurbishment. Thank you to everyone who took part.
We loved receiving photos and videos from all the walkers, there must have been some very tired feet and dogs by the end of last week! We have put some of the photos into this short thank you video. You may spot some familiar faces and landmarks.
From 12th April, KLS are planning to re-introduce their face-to-face work and re-open the community centre. They’ll be doing this slowly, cautiously and safely. Over the next few weeks they will be spring cleaning the building; the café area has already been given a fresh coat of paint and of course the garden area is being revitalised with the help of the team of FHS volunteers. We look forward to welcoming The Junior School helpers for the garden tidying day on 9th April.
Many thanks for stepping up and going that extra mile for KLS!
