For this week’s speaker programme, we were delighted to have Mona Adam come in to talk to us.
Ms Adam works for the Green Party and joined us to talk about her life, job, and experiences. Ms Adam described her journey from being born in Sudan, to then moving to Saudi Arabia as a child and returning to Sudan, where she realised it was no longer the same as when she had left it.  Ms Adam moved to England as a refugee and was later hired to work for the Labour Party. She then decided that the Green Party better suited her beliefs and aspirations for disadvantaged people.
Mona emphasised her desire to help disadvantaged families and the importance of protecting our environment. She encouraged us to ask questions and was eager to hear our opinions and questions regarding the Green Party and her life in general. Mona’s speech was particularly inspiring as she reflected on how proud she was of all the work she had done and the impact it had had on the people around her.
We were very lucky to have Mona Adam speak to us this week and have learned a lot from her experiences and work ethic.
