On Wednesday 12th October, the School sprung into action to welcome prospective families and their daughters to FHS for our Senior School Open Evening. Before embarking on tours of the School, Mrs Elphinstone and Head Girl Carolina, Deputy Head Girl Isabella and Sixth Form Ambassador Eloise delivered rousing talks on what makes our school so unique, all reflecting fondly on what it means to be a part of the FHS community.

Following this introduction to the School, guests set off to find classrooms adorned with subject displays, demonstrations and interactive workshops, with pupils leading tours and in turn sharing what they love most about our school. Each department shared a taster of what FHS life could be like for our potential Year 7s, with everything from anatomical Biology dissection demonstrations to the Classics Department’s hotly contested Latin Scrabble tournament. Other sections showcased what makes FHS so unique, for example our award-winning Creative Enterprise and TIPS (Thinking Innovatively and Problem Solving) programmes and our transformational Sixth Form Centre, the Old School House.

It was a joy to welcome so many prospective families to our school on Wednesday, and a massive thank you to all who came.
