FHS students took part in a week of political activism at the end of term.

Political campaigning by six parties, including the Feminist Party, culminated in a general election with girls streaming into a polling station to vote for their preferred candidate. Alongside the campaigning, subject specific political lessons took place including Spanish and German groups joining forces to explore fundamental aspects of the political systems of Spain and Germany such as their governmental structure and electoral system.

The results of the election, which included votes from pupils and staff, were:

  • Feminist
  • Conservative
  • Green
  • UKIP
  • Youth
  • Labour
