Two Francis Holland girls from year 10, Christina Cleary and Evie Turle, went to the Katherine Low Settlement today to hand over a cheque for £3,500 with Mrs Annabel Bennett the Chair of the Francis Holland Parents’ Association.
Christina and Evie had been working as volunteers at the centre last week and were delighted to be able to present such a generous amount raised by the Parent’s Association. We were all given a tour of the buildings to see where all the varied and diverse community activities take place and were reminded of the roots of the charity that was set up by an old FHS girl. The charity have lots of plans for their facilities – including a drive to enable greater accessibility for the less able members of their community. Francis Holland, Sloane Square are proud to be actively involved in supporting their work and have many more plans to strengthen our ties with this worthwhile local cause.
