On Tuesday 4th October, we held our annual Open Evening.

We welcomed over 500 people to the evening, which included a talk from Headmistress Mrs Elphinstone and a chance to take a look at everything the school has to offer. Years 7 and 8 gave the visiting parents and girls tours of the school, pausing to take a look at the wonderful demonstrations and pieces of work on display. In each classroom, FHS girls of all ages waited to share their enthusiasm about their subjects and co-curricular activities with our guests. The lizards and hamsters were out and about in Animal Club, dry ice flowed across the desks in the Chemistry lab, there were togas aplenty in Classics and beautiful choral harmonies drifted down the Music corridor – just to name a few of the fantastic demonstrations showing just how special our school is.
