In Wednesday’s Life Skills, we celebrated Black History Month.

Sixth Formers ran the sessions in almost every year group, leading presentations and chairing student discussion to raise the school community’s knowledge and understanding of the significant contribution made by black people to life in Britain and beyond.

Key black figures from past and present were discussed such as the Ivory Bangle Lady, Walter Tull, Maggie Aderin-Pocock, and Leslie Thomas QC, and the exchange of knowledge and ideas across the year groups made the sessions really fruitful experience for all.
