On Friday 15th October we hosted our long-awaited Spelling Bee.
Throughout the week, each class was quizzed on their spellings and the highest scoring girl from each house was chosen to represent Ashcroft, Fonteyn, Franklin, and Woolf in front of the Junior School. Miss Parker and Miss Miller, both dressed as bees, hosted the event. The house champions from Year 1 took to the stage first, put on the necessary bee antennae and wings, and were put to the test. Each year group followed suit until we finished with Year 6. All girls and staff were impressed with their spelling knowledge. However, Fonteyn managed to clinch first place with an impressive score of 27 points. Congratulations to all bees who took part!
