On Wednesday evening, we hosted the hotly anticipated Junior Friends’ Quiz Night!
The Senior Hall was packed to the rafters with our lovely parents, friends and staff, sitting in tables dictated by their daughters’ year groups. Following a super Mexican and Lebanese buffet meal provided by our unbeatable catering team (plus a well-stocked bar manned by our Junior School staff!), the main event of the evening began – a one-of-a-kind, devilishly difficult quiz devised by our Senior School quizmasters, Mr Taylor and Mr Casselle.
We were treated to multiple rounds including pandemic wordplay and a very nostalgic music round, punctuated by Mr Russell’s legendary heads and tails game for which the prize was a highly coveted magnum of Tattinger.
As the night progressed, the competition became more and more fervent, with the Year 5 team finally being named victorious. They won a Pyjama and Movie Night for their daughters, who are all over the moon!
We would also like to say a huge thank you for the generosity of our guests who, via contributions to our elegant ‘giving tree’, raised over £6,000 for the needs of our Junior School and also made significant donations to our chosen charities, Bees and Refugees and Safe Passage.
Last but not least, we would like to thank our fantastic Friends Committee, led by Mrs Davis and Mr Cadwallader and their team, for a magnificent set up and flawless organisation which made the night so enjoyable for all, to our wonderful quizmasters and to all of our Junior Staff who cheerfully helped out.
