Francis Holland School marked Holocaust Memorial Day in an assembly this week.

Father Kenny explored issues around what motivates human beings to do monstrous acts. We heard about Sir Nicholas Winton who saved over 600 children as the Nazis were closing down all escape routes out of Europe. The choir sang an amazing piece of music based on words written on a wall in a cellar by some Jews who were hiding there. It speaks of having hope even when the sun is not shining.
