We all had the best time on our History of Art trip to Florence. It was just amazing to be able to see the Botticelli paintings in the Uffizi, as well as the duomo museum and, of course, Michelangelo’s statue of David.

The food, the artwork and spending time with friends in such an amazing city made it an incredibly special and memorable trip for all of us. After long hours on our feet, we were all exhausted but always found just enough energy to eat the delicious Italian food, whilst bursting out into laughter from all of our conversations. By the end of the trip, the neighbours had definitely had enough of our giggling!

To have the opportunity to view some of the finest art in the world was just incredible and, even despite some missing hair gel and a dramatic scamming situation, our spirits remained high throughout the trip – nothing could rain on our parade! To be walking the Florentine streets in the Easter sun and seeing the paintings we have studied in great detail in person was very special and such a joyful time for everyone (that alongside a great deal of comic relief courtesy of Mr Edes and Mrs Elphinstone!).

A big thank you to Cargs and the rest of the staff for this amazing opportunity. We will never forget it!
